Homer and Marge sneak into a wedding expo, only for both to become injured before their romantic night ends. Burns opens a retirement home with some Jurassic upgrades. Homer wins an eating contest against the mythical Cthulhu, Springfield is overrun by plant body-snatchers, Lisa finally snaps and Mr. In order to cover up for himself and Homer (who had failed to stop him in time), Bart makes a claim that he met Jesus in Heaven. Bart feels neglected when Homer and Lisa bond over To Kill a Mockingbird and start spending quality time together, so Marge attempts to help Homer balance attention between the kids.

A desperate and determined Marge plans to save Christmas after a failed Black Friday shopping spree, while Homer and the kids surprise her with a trip to a Florida resort.
